About Us

General Background

QSU Publishing, an operating division of Apogee Global Resources, Inc., is the home of Quality Systems Update (QSU), Environmental Systems Update (ESU) and the world's premiere repository of critical business information relating to today's most sought after management system standards, including ISO 9000, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 13485, TL 9000, AS9100 and ISO 14001.

From our offices located in Surfside Florida, we collect, analyze and publish data on more than 200,000 certified organizations around the world. We provide a unique forum for end users, researchers and service providers to identify market trends and we anticipate and respond to specialized user needs with respect to our library of published resources. We recently conducted a survey of the ISO 14001 user community along with the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and Wharton Risk Management and Decision Processes Center to ascertain critical return on investment data.

Trusted Industry Journals

Now in its 18th year of publication, our flagship monthly journal Quality Systems Update was first to report on every major development concerning the third-party registration phenomenon, including the equally important business implications. Environmental Systems Update enjoys a similar position in the ISO 14001 community and incorporates coverage of OHSAS 18001 and social responsibility. We travel the world to bring subscribers the latest market intelligence and implementation strategies so they won't have to rely on a filtered view of the industry. Both journals also feature comprehensive listings of relevant training courses and recent registration achievers from our two free search engines: WhoIsTraining.com and GQEX.net .

Industry's Most Comprehensive Directories

The ISO 9000 Worldwide Certified Company Directory (WCCD), and the ISO 14001 Worldwide Certified Company Directory are the most comprehensive, accurate databases of ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 certificate holders in the world. They power GQEX.net and have become the de-facto "official" registries for many large purchasers and users of third-party registration services. They are available as stand-alone subscription products and as value-added enhancements for package subscribers along with our professional journals.

In addition, our WCCDs form the basis of QSU Publishing's research service, offering customized market analyses to subscribers and nonsubscribers alike. The first edition of the then ISO 9000 Registered Company Directory North America debuted in February 1992 with information on some 200 registered sites in the United States. Today, QSU Publishing collects data on certified organizations throughout the world and soon purchasers will be able to automate the sometimes difficult certificate verification process.

Statistics from our directories are cited around the world by journalists, educators, government officials and even the headquarters of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in Geneva. WCCD statistics are used by newly registered companies in press releases or advertisements to support claims that they are either the first company to be registered in a particular industry sector or are one of the few companies registered for a specific scope of activity. Our statistics provide independent verification of certification.

In 2001, QSU Publishing Company developed a policy on how it counts certificates. The policy was featured in a publication of ISO and quickly became the industry reporting standard. It forms the basis of QSU Publishing's monthly Registrar Index (printed monthly in QSU and ESU), which lists the total number of registration certificates by registrars in various categories and our Big Ten Registrars as determined by the index.
